Wide Die Set Storage Box | Stampin’ Up!

Welcome to Throwback Thursday at DoLally Crafts.

This week I am making a much needed large die set storage box.  I’ve made smaller/narrower ones before for the slimmer die-set packets, before I started storing them all with the stamp sets – however, the wider die-set packs seldom fit into the stamp sets unless you buy a narrow stamp case and keep them together on the shelf.  So, here is my solution.

Materials & Measurements

Cardstock of Choice – 12 x 9″ (x2) (I used Tranquil Tide)

12″ length score @ 6″ & 7″
9″ length score @ 1″ & 8″

Cardstock of Choice – 9 x 3″ (x 2 glued together to form thick base)
DSP of Choice – 6 x 5″ (x 2) (I used Tranquil Textures DSP)
Whisper White Printed PDF cut to: 4 x 3″ (x 2)
Ribbon of Choice – 20″
PDF Label Template  (will open in new window)

Thanks for joining me again today!  Hope you give this project a go – I found it great for this new size of die sets – I hope you use the PDF for the front to keep track of which sets you have inside the sleeves.

Please consider making a purchase in my online store, every purchase helps me bring new videos’ to you.

Until Sunday, I’ll bid you adieu!
Cheers,
Karen 🙂

Daisy Lane Friendship Card | Stampin’ Up!

$

Welcome to an all-new video tutorial at DoLally Crafts!  Today’s card is really cute – I have to say that because I am biased! LOL

Today I’m using the new Daisy Lane Bundle which consists of a Cling Stamp Set and Medium Daisy Punch which compliments the Daisy Bundle that was released last year.

The sample card was done using the Daffodil Delight ink, but I wanted a colour change for the card in the video so I used Grapefruit Grove.  Now even though I am a self-confessed ‘orange’ girl, I am not fond of the Grapefruit Grove ink colour having sais that though, it doesn’t look too bad against the Balmy Blue as they favour each other on the colour wheel.

Materials & Measurements

Whisper White Thick Cardstock Base – 11 1/2 x 4″ scored at 5 3/4″
Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP Pack – 5 1/2 x 3 3/4″
Vellum – 2 3/4 x 2 3/4″
Whisper White Cardstock 2 1/2 x 2 1/2″
Scrap Whisper White Cardstock app 5 x 5″ (for daisy & sentiment stamping)
Balmy Blue Ink
Grapefruit Grove Ink
Daisy Lane Bundle (stamps & punch)
Daisy Punch
Gold Faceted Gems
Gingham Gala Self-Adhesive Sequins

Gingham Gala Missing You Card & Gift Box | Stampin’ Up!

$

Hi and welcome to another Throwback Thursday this time featuring the Gingham Gala paper in my favourite 2017 – 2019 In Colour Lemon Lime Twist.  I still have a lot of this paper at home as I hoarded it because it’s so pretty.  But I need to get rid of the older papers that I still have, and what better way than to pair it with the medium daisy punch daisies + gingham = happy Karen 🙂

Materials & Measurements

Box

Gingham Gala DSP – 6 x 6″ Scored at 2″ on all four sides
Whisper White Thick Cardstock – 5 1/16 x 5 1/16″ score at 1 1/2″ on all four sides**
Gingham Gala DSP – 1 1/2 x 1 1/2″ (x 1)  1 1/4 x 1 3/4″ (x 4)
Whisper White – 1 3/4 x 1 3/4″
Whisper White Cardstock – 3/4 x 2″ (for greeting)
Whisper White Cardstock – 2 1/2 x 5″ (for daisy punch)

**(it is important to score on all four sides for this piece and not at 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 as the extra 1/16th will mean two sides are longer and the centre square will not be wide enough to fit over the bottom box.)

Card

Whisper White Thick Cardstock – 11 1/2 x 4″ scored at 5 3/4″
Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock – 3 3/4 x 5 1/2″
Gingham Gala DSP – 3 5/8 x 5 3/8″
Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock – 2 5/8 x 4 3/8″
Whisper White Cardstock – 2 1/2 x 4 1/4″
Whisper White Cardstock Scrap 2 1/2 x 5″

A Little Bird Told Me feat. Bird Ballad Suite | Stampin’ Up!

$

Welcome to a rushed Sunday Stampin’ Up! tutorial from Do Lally Crafts.  Today it’s featuring some of the Bird Ballad Suite from the Annual Catalogue – the stamps and papers from the suite are lovely and very reminiscent of the storybook illustrations from the ’40s, ’50s and ’60s – in my opinion.

Anna Jarnagin - Thank Goodness

I’m rushed this week as I’m about to demolish the dumpsite that is my current craft room and give it a makeover, so I’m filming today’s and Tuesday’s video’s one after the other.

Today’s card was inspired by this card from Anna Jarnagin. (At right)

So, if I seem a little flustered during the video, you’ll understand why.  Oh! And my memory card for the camera decided to disappear on me, too! LOL  (I did find it later tho!)

Materials & Measurements

Bermuda Bay Cardstock – 8 x 5 3/4″ scored at 4″
Bird Ballad DSP – 3 3/4 x 5 1/2″
Daffodil Delight Cardstock – 3 x 4 3/4
Bird Ballad DSP Paper Strips –

Bird Ballad Strip 1 – 1 1/4 x 4 1/2″
Bird Ballad Strip 2 –  3/4 x 4 1/2″
Bird Ballad Strip 3 –  3/4 x 4 1/2″
Bird Ballad Strip 4 –  1 x 2 3/4″
Whisper White Strip – 3/4 x 2 3/4″ (x1)

Whisper White Scrap Cardstock – 2 1/2 x 3″ (for stamping & fussy cutting)

HI and welcome to another Card Making Tuesday at Do Lally Crafts!

Today we’re making a more masculine card, but this could really be used for any occasion as there are some gender-neutral patterns in the Come Sail Away DSP pack.  I chose the pale blue striped paper for this card, as it matched in better with the Night of Navy and Seaside Spray ink/paper I was using.

Materials & Measurements

Whisper White Thick Card Base – 8″ x 5 3/4″ scored at 4″
Come Sail Away DSP – 5 1/2″ x 3 3/4″
Seaside Spray Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 3″ (for tearing)
Whisper White Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 4″ (for stamping, diecutting & tearing)
Come Sail Way DSP – 1″ x 3 3/4″ (for inside panel)
Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Bakers Twine – approx 10″
